Dr. Michael D. Dufresne, D.O.

Dr. Dufresne did his undergraduate training at UNH and completed his medical training at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. He is board certified in Family Practice and integrates Osteopathic Manipulation as part of comprehensive patient care. Dr. Dufresne has a special interest in Women’s Health, including prenatal care and obstetrics.


Dr. Kevin Kenerson, D.O.

Dr. Kenerson studied at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and completed his medical training at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. He is board certified in Family Practice and board eligible in Osteopathic Manipulation and his interests include holistic health and physical fitness. He is currently pursuing additional ertification in acupuncture and excited about building an integrative health center. He also recently became proud father to his first daughter Sienna Lily.

Casey Cottle, DPT

Casey completed his undergraduate training in applied exercise science in 2008, and earned his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of New England. Casey has special interests in chronic running and cycling injuries, treating patients with chronic pain, and is motivated to enable people to pursue their passions and achieve personal goals.


Cheryl Drda, PMHNP-BC

Cheryl graduated from the University of Florida with a BSN in 1990 and MSN in 2009. She is board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Cheryl worked at The University of Florida Department of Psychiatry and Chronic Pain Management until moving to Maine in 2010. She has worked in the inpatient, outpatient, and community health settings. Cheryl has extensive experience with addiction, adult and geriatric psychiatry, dementia and Parkinson's disease. She has particular interest in personality disorders and chronic and persistent illness as well as an extensive experience with medication management and CBT. Cheryl believes strongly in the holistic approach to treatment that Be Well My Friend offers.


Ellen Ellis, Licensed Acupuncturist

Ellen brings to her acupuncture practice a love for the uniqueness of people, an appreciation for the beauty of the human body and a respect for the resilience of the human spirit. The foundation of her practice is based on her ability to listen, to clearly communicate and to bridge natural and allopathic medicine. Treatment is designed to meet the needs of each unique individual whether those needs are preventative or specific to the treatment of acute or chronic illness or injury.

Dr. Stephen Goldbas, D.O.

Dr. Goldbas earned his Doctor Of Osteopathy degree at the University Of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (1991).  He has served on the faculty of the St. Elizabeth Family Medicine Residency Program as director of osteopathic medical education and associate program director after he completed his residency and board certification in Family Medicine (1994).   He is a remarkable medical educator and has been acclaimed as a doctor who trains doctors in  osteopathic techniques.  He is board certified in Neurmusculoskeletal Medicine /Osteopathic manipulative medicine who brings over 20 years of clinical practice and experience to the integrative practice of Be Well My Friend, LLC


LuAnn Jones, Holistic Nutritionist

LuAnn is a holistic health coach who is passionate about cooking nutritious meals from local ingredients and nutrient-dense foods, and appreciates the effect it has on health and happiness. LuAnn has experience working with clients who have a variety of health concerns and who want to enhance their health naturally. As a new mom herself, LuAnn loves working with prenatal women and new moms, helping them to find a healthy balance in their life while establishing healthy habits for their children's future.


Susie Kelley , OTR/L

Susie Kelley has been an occupational therapist for over 25 years. Over the course of her career, she has treated a variety of diagnoses but has developed a passion and expertise in treating clients with neurological impairments. Susie has enjoyed growing her skill set especially in the areas of Brain Injury, Post Concussive Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and Parkinson’s Disease. Cognitive rehabilitation and vision rehabilitation/visual perception are of particular interest to her and she has furthered her training and focus in these areas. Two other areas of interest and specialty for her are Driver Rehabilitation and incorporating mindfulness skills into my therapy practice to help patients manage stress, increase memory and focused attention and work toward adjustment to and acceptance of the challenges they face due to their illness or diagnosis. Susie is a Certified Driving Instructor, has obtained certification in the use of the Interactive Metronome and has pursued Level I Reiki certification. She is eager to provide quality OT services to patients at Be Well My Friend, assisting them with improving their quality of life and achieving independence.


Maria Sirois, RN, BSN

Maria Sirois is a certified diabetes educator who works with Dr Dufresne and Dr Kenerson to help patients incorporate nutrition, physical activity and medication management (if needed) to assist our patients to meet their health and wellness goals. With over thirty years of nursing experience, she enjoys working with all age groups.


Joe Sorbello, PA-C

Joe Sorbello is our certified Physician Assistant who works in conjunction with Dr. Dufresne and Dr. Kenerson to provide urgent care for our current patients. He is available in both our Freeport and Augusta locations.
